You know that the more you watch, the less you exercise. In fact, people who spend more than four hours a day in front of the TV - the national average - are 47% les likely to accumulate the recommended 10,000 steps a day, according to a study from the Harvard School of Public Health.
Of course, it's unreasonable to totally tune out, but make yourself a deal : "Try to take 200 extra steps - a walk around the block - for every viewing hour," sayd lead author Gary Bennett, Ph.D. OR spend an hour working out before you settle in front of the tube-guilt-free.
